Questions
Yes. Pro and Business start with a 14-day free trial. The terms of the trial are shown at checkout before anything is charged.
Yes, from the billing page of your account. Upgrades take effect immediately and the difference for the current period is prorated. Downgrades are scheduled for the end of the current billing period, so you keep what you paid for until then. Moving between a personal plan and a per-seat team plan is not a plan change: cancel one and subscribe to the other.
From the billing page of your account. Cancelling stops the renewal; you keep every feature of your plan until the end of the period you already paid for, and you can resume before then. Afterwards your account is on the Free plan.
Nothing is deleted when a plan ends. Your account follows the limits of the plan it is on: new uploads need free space under that plan’s storage limit, and version history and the trash follow that plan’s retention periods, so older versions can be removed once they pass the shorter limit.
The subscription is marked as past due and you are notified. You keep access for a grace period while the payment is retried (set by the service, 7 days by default). If it still has not gone through after that, the account moves to the Free plan.
You pay by card through Stripe’s hosted checkout. Your card details go to Stripe; they are never entered on, or stored by, this website.
Business is billed per seat, and the storage amount shown is per seat. Organizations and teams come with Business. See the Business page for what an organization can do.
The desktop, Android and iPhone apps count toward a limit on how many devices can be signed in at the same time: Free allows 3 devices. Pro and Business have no limit. Web browsers do not count. When the limit is reached, signing in on another device is refused until you sign one of the others out from the device list in your account settings, or move to a plan with a higher limit. Signing in again on a device that is already signed in is always allowed.
Files are encrypted with AES-256-GCM before they are stored and travel over TLS. We explain exactly what that does and does not cover on the Security page.
