Files travel in pieces, so a dropped connection or a closed laptop does not mean starting again. The upload picks up where it stopped, and every stored file carries a SHA-256 fingerprint that is checked again over time.

Recovery
Mistakes are reversible
Saving a changed file keeps the earlier version, and deleted files wait in the trash before they are removed for good. Version history is kept from 30 days on Free to 1 year on Business.

How your files are protectedEncrypted before it is stored
Files are sealed with AES-256-GCM before they are written to disk or object storage, and travel over TLS.
Your account, locked down
Passwords are hashed with Argon2id, two-factor authentication is available, and you can review and sign out your connected devices.
Links you can close
Every shared link can be disabled at any time, and download limits stop a link from being passed around forever.
