Terms of Service

Template text — have your legal counsel review before publishing. This is the built-in starting text (version of 17 October 2026). Replace it with your own in the admin dashboard under Content, and this notice disappears. Parts in [square brackets] need your details.

1. About these terms

These terms apply to your use of Iglubox, a cloud storage and file sharing service operated by Iglubox (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the service you agree to them. If you use the service for an organization, you confirm that you are allowed to accept these terms on its behalf.

2. Your account

  • Give accurate information and keep your sign-in details secret. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
  • Turn on two-factor authentication where you can, and tell us promptly if you think someone else has access to your account.
  • You must be at least [minimum age, for example 16] years old, or have the permission of a parent or guardian.

3. Your files

  • You own your files. We process them only to provide the service: to store, encrypt, preview, scan, deliver and share them as you direct.
  • You are responsible for your files and for who you share them with. Anyone who has an active share link can use it, so treat links like keys.
  • Files are encrypted on our servers. They are not end-to-end encrypted: the service holds the keys, as described on the security page.

4. Acceptable use

Do not use the service to store or share content that is illegal or that infringes other people’s rights, to distribute malware, to attack, overload or probe the service or other people’s accounts, to resell the service without our written agreement, or to get around plan limits.

Files may be scanned for malware. A file found to be infected is quarantined and can no longer be downloaded or shared, and its owner is notified.

5. Plans, payment and cancellation

  • Free and paid plans differ in storage, file size, version history, trash retention and other limits. The pricing page shows the current plans.
  • Paid plans renew automatically every month or year until you cancel. The price is shown before you pay. Payments are processed by Stripe.
  • Upgrades take effect immediately, with the difference for the current period prorated. Downgrades take effect at the end of the current period.
  • You can cancel at any time from the billing page of your account. Cancelling stops the renewal; you keep your plan until the end of the period you have paid for, and the account then moves to the Free plan.
  • If a payment fails, we notify you and keep your plan for a grace period (7 days by default) while the payment is retried. If it is still unpaid after that, the account moves to the Free plan.
  • [Refunds, the statutory right of withdrawal for consumers and the terms of free trials: complete this before publishing.]

6. Storage limits and retention

Your storage, file size and device limits depend on your plan. Version history and deleted files are kept for the periods that belong to your plan. When you move to a plan with shorter periods, older versions and trashed files can be removed once they are older than the new period. Nothing is deleted just because a plan ends, but you cannot upload new files while you are over your storage limit.

7. Availability and changes

We work to keep the service available, but we do not promise that it will be uninterrupted or free of errors. We may change or retire features, and we will tell you in advance when a change affects you materially. Keep a copy of files you cannot afford to lose. [Add any service-level commitment here if you offer one.]

8. Suspension and ending your account

You can delete your account at any time from your account settings; a paid subscription has to be cancelled first. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts the service or other users at risk, normally after giving notice. After an account is deleted, its files and personal data are permanently erased once a retention period has passed (30 days by default). Billing records are kept for as long as the law requires.

9. Liability

[State the limits of liability that apply in your jurisdiction. Rights that consumers have by law cannot be excluded by these terms.]

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. When a change is material, we will tell you by email or in the service before it applies. If you keep using the service after that, you accept the updated terms.

11. Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by [the law of the country where the operator is established]. [Courts or other forum for disputes.]

Questions about these terms: support@iglubox.com or the contact page.
